The New Year holiday is traditionally a high season for international travel to Vietnam. This year, inbound tourism from markets such as China, South Korea, the United States, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore continued to grow, providing positive signs for the tourism industry.
Additionally, the extended four-day holiday period gave travelers more time to explore the country, enjoy services, and spend on tourism, helping domestic tourism momentum while international travel saw selective but encouraging growth. Local authorities and businesses enforced strict safety and service quality measures, ensuring a joyful, safe, and fair environment for visitors nationwide.
The New Year holiday performance is considered a strong kick-off to the 2026 tourism season, supporting Vietnam’s broader goal of welcoming around 25 million international visitors and serving 150 million domestic tourists throughout 2026.
